During his year as Captain of the Charnock Richard Golf Club, Phil Wheat has been working hard to raise funds for the appeal.
He decided to support Men Matter and through fundraising efforts at the club and along with his fellow members, Phil collected £1,218.83.
In addition, he also donated £623.00 as a result of taking part in the 2010 Great Manchester Run, making a grand total of just over £1,840 from his year as Captain.
